The parish occupies a peninsula caused by a sharp bend in the River Severn - the next village to the east is Fretherne.

A Ham class minesweeper was named after the village - HMS Arlingham.

Arlingham has one Public House called The Red Lion, along with a village shop. You can travel down to the river Severn, and experience the Old Passage Inn, a wonderful Fish eatery.

Great views of the River Severn, and several times a year, its a great place to see The Severn Bore .
